Linda and I departed on another hippie trip one Friday evening headed for Arizona. We left after traffic died down out I-8 east from San Diego with no idea where we would stop for the night. Where we did stop was in the center divider of the freeway near Yuma, AZ in a rest stop populated with sleepy truckers and questionable souls like us. We slept like babies, comforted by the white noise of big rig generators for a whole 5 hours. Then off to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument near the Mexican border, and finally to Saguaro National Park that flanks Tuscon on the east and west. One morning we entered Saguaro East before dawn and witnessed the symphonic cacophany of two irritated coyotes packs -- who were no doubt ordering Starbucks.
