Joshua Tree 2013

Yet another Joshua Tree visit. Just Linda and me this time. I wanted to show you some of the great reptiles that abound in the desert.  This time we were lucky enough to come across a desert tortoise - a rare find these days. The last time I saw a desert tortoise in the wild was more than 40 years ago! In addition, there is a beautiful chuckawalla who was quite cooperative during his photo shoot. On this trip we felt like amateur herpetologists.
