Tumbleweeds

In spite of the garbage being spewed by the current occupant of the White House, Joseph R. Biden will be our next president. This is cause for great celebration, not so much because I am thrilled with Biden, but rather I am relieved that a narcissistic, megalomaniacal sociopath will no longer be running the show. These last four years have left me weary, disappointed, astonished, depressed, numb...
If we can survive the damage he is doing over these next lame duck weeks, the napalming, the carpet-bombing of our democracy as he exits, I think we will be OK. I have tempered optimism. I think that is as far as I'll go in predicting our future.
This song will hopefully be my last anti-Trump offering.
I want the man to become irrelevant, a historical footnote, a bit of spilled ink in a universe of black. I'd also like somebody out there to tell me exactly what it means to be a Republican today. What does one stand for?
