Rattlesnake Hill

Arnold and I walk most mornings in Canyon Park on the other side of the "beautiful" Santa Ana River (sarcasm intended). Occasionally we extend our walks into another smaller unnamed park nearby. There is a sign at the entrance to that park warning us that rattlesnakes reside here. This park is definitely NOT a rattlesnake habitat. In no other park in the vicinity is there a similar sign. We have never seen a rattler in either park. Canyon Park would be much more likely to house rattlesnakes owing to its more rustic, natural condition. I guess there are some lawyers living in the neighborhood. Anyway, Linda and I just call this well-watered and manicured park Rattlesnake Park. For the song, "hill" rolls off the tongue easier than "park".
